CHINESE LANTERNS

Case Studies & Evidence

This collection helps venue buyers and project reviewers read our existing project pages with the right level of caution. It organises candidate pages by project stage, evidence status and responsibility. Inclusion here does not independently verify completion, delivery, installation, results, revenue, dimensions, customer approval or endorsement.

Editorial responsibility: Yunyi Culture editorial team. Evidence-governance review: 19 August 2026. This editorial classification is not engineering, electrical, legal, accessibility or local-compliance approval.

How to read this collection

Use two checks before relying on a case-page claim. First, identify the stage the available material can support. Second, identify the source and its limits. A useful page may contain a mixture of documented facts, owner statements, editorial interpretation and claims that still need verification.

The title of a page is not evidence by itself. Treat every project detail according to the evidence label shown here, then ask for the underlying record needed for your own shortlist or internal review.

Five project-stage labels and what they prove

The five labels are separate states. Evidence of an earlier stage must never be treated as proof of a later stage.

Five-stage project taxonomy from production to result evidence
Each later project-stage label requires its own evidence; stages are not automatic.
StageWhat it can meanWhat it does not prove
ProductionA product or component was being manufactured, where supported by a dated record or bounded owner statement.Shipment, installation, completion or performance.
DeliveryA shipment or handoff occurred, where supported by a transport or receipt record.Correct installation, opening or visitor use.
InstalledAn item was placed at a named site, where site-specific evidence exists.Event completion, customer approval or commercial result.
CompletedA defined scope was completed, where an acceptance or completion record exists.Revenue, attendance, ROI or causal impact.
ResultA measured outcome is reported with source, period, method and limitations. That the manufacturer caused the result or that another venue will repeat it.

Production and delivery

Production evidence may establish a manufacturing activity without establishing what happened after the product left the workshop. Delivery evidence needs its own shipment or handoff record. Neither state should be promoted to “installed” or “completed” through inference.

Installed and completed

An installed label requires site-specific evidence. A completed label requires a bounded completion record. Neither label is a performance claim.

Result

A result claim needs an attributable source, a defined period and scope, and a clear limitation. Revenue, attendance, return on investment, endorsement and causal claims remain unverified unless a page-level evidence ledger supports them.

Evidence labels: what readers can and cannot rely on

Evidence is labelled by provenance and limitation, not by how persuasive a sentence sounds.

Legend for documented facts, owner attestations, official support, editorial interpretations, unverified claims and prohibited inferences
Evidence labels show what can support a claim; a title or image is not proof of a result.
Evidence labelPermitted useRequired caution
Documented factA bounded statement traceable to a record.Check date, owner, scope and whether the record is public.
Owner attestationA statement explicitly attributed to the owner. It is not independent third-party verification.
Official third-party supportA fact supported by the responsible institution or organiser.Use only what the source actually states.
Editorial interpretationA clearly labelled explanation or classification.Do not present it as a project fact.
Unverified claimA claim retained for review.Do not rely on it for a procurement decision without evidence.
Prohibited inferenceA conclusion the available evidence cannot support.Exclude it rather than filling the gap with assumptions.

Who is responsible for each kind of evidence

Manufacturer, venue, organiser and local specialist can own different facts. We do not infer a real party’s responsibility when the available record does not establish it.

Roles are assigned only when the page has claim-level evidence.
RoleEvidence this role may ownBoundary
ManufacturerDocumented design, fabrication, internal quality or packing activity.Does not automatically own venue operation, installation or results.
Client or venueIts decisions, approvals and site records.Does not automatically verify the manufacturer’s internal process.
Event organiserPublished event operation, programme or visitor information.Does not establish another party’s manufacturing scope.
Local specialistLocal engineering, electrical, legal, accessibility or compliance decisions.Editorial content cannot replace local professional review.

Status-aware index of candidate case pages

The following pages are existing candidates organised for review. All eleven remain PLANNED. Each entry states what needs checking; none receives blanket “verified case” authority from this index.

Five-step guide to using the case index without treating planned pages as verified results
PLANNED means review is still required; it does not mean verified, completed or successful.
  1. Jamison Station and the Sydney Royal Easter Show after-dark experience — historical stage label remains unverified; claim-level review is required. Automated access currently needs a separate browser-capable recheck, so no live-state conclusion is inferred here.
  2. Houston lantern festival historical case — numeric and customer claims require a claim-level ledger; manufacturing scope must remain separate from organiser or outcome ownership.
  3. Dublin Temple Bar Christmas facade installation — installation and party-role evidence require review; manufacturer, installer and local-specialist duties must not be merged.
  4. Houston 2026 Christmas lantern production preview — production-stage preview only, bounded by owner attestation and confidentiality; it is not a completed or installed project record.
  5. Columbus private-venue lantern festival project — project, transformation and stage claims require review; manufacturing and venue-operation roles remain separate.
  6. Surrey Estate lantern festival — revenue and result claims require attributable evidence; no causal result is transferred to the manufacturer.
  7. Waverley Grange Estate lantern festival — revenue and result claims require attributable evidence and limitations.
  8. Birmingham Botanical Gardens Christmas project — historical stage, official-source support and supplier role require a page-level ledger.
  9. Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam lantern project — official-source, project-image provenance and role claims require review.
  10. 40-metre Chinese dragon lantern build — dimensions, project stage and image provenance require primary evidence; design and production scope must remain separate from event operation.
  11. Theme-park Christmas display candidate — client, numeric, delivery and completion claims require a page-level evidence lock; supplier scope must remain separate from theme-park operation.

Pages classified as evidence-blocked, editorial repositioning candidates or routes to an existing owner are deliberately excluded from this index. That prevents an index link from passing unearned case authority.

Choose the next evidence or delivery route

After selecting a relevant candidate, list the claims your team needs to verify and the stage your venue has reached. If you are still defining the project type, explore custom lantern options for a venue brief.

If you would like help routing a brief, share the venue type, intended use, current project stage and evidence required. We can identify the relevant process or service discussion, but we do not promise a result, fixed price, fixed lead time or verified suitability from this index.
